The ACTIVE Work Site Physiotherapy Program
This program is suitable
for individuals who have sustained a soft tissue injury
on, or off, the job, or are experiencing job related musculoskeletal
discomfort.
The goal of this program
is to provide early access to assessment and treatment of
soft tissue injuries with the ultimate goal of decreasing
absenteeism, WCB claims and/or disability claims. Early
access to physiotherapy treatment has proven to be a key
factor in controlling WCB and disability claims. Encouraging employees to be assessed and treated
during work hours allows quicker access to treatment. Providing
treatment at the work site also results in improved compliance
with treatment, which is key to
success of treatment.
The program is comprised of a musculoskeletal assessment and development
of a treatment plan, as well as education on safe work techniques
to avoid future injuries.
The ACTIVE Work Site Massage Therapy Program
Similar to the ACTIVE Work Site Physiotherapy
Program, the Work Site Massage Therapy Program is intended
to decrease muscle tension brought on by either stress or
the physical requirements of a job, thus improving work
performance and reducing absenteeism.
A Registered Massage Therapist is
available on site to provide employees with 15 - 20 minute
massages during work hours.
